Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chrissy Schumann. I am one of the 4th grade teachers at LeRoy-Ostrander Public School, along with Angie Kennedy. I have lived in the area my entire life. I graduated from Grand Meadow Public School in 1996. I attended Winona State University and graduated with my BS in Elementary Education in 2000. From 2000-2006, I was a substitute teacher in various schools in SE MN area. When our second child was born, I opened a daycare in Grand Meadow, which I continued to run until June of 2015. At that time I went back to work as a paraprofessional in the 5th grade LA classroom. I was also the substitute teacher coordinator at Grand Meadow, and did some regular and long-term substitute teaching in Grand Meadow for the past two years. I am EXTREMELY excited to be back teaching and have my own classroom with wonderful co-workers!
My husband, Gabe and I live outside of Racine, MN with our four children, Dane (12), Halen (10), Holly (8) and Hudson (1). We also have 2 dogs and a large assortment of cats. My favorite pasttime is sitting down with a good book. I can't wait to share this passion of mine with my students!
